When is the conference held?

How can I register?

Do I need to be a member to participate?

You do not have to be a member to participate, but you will get a discount if you are a member. You can sign up by clicking on this link –> https://imyos.org/categories-and-fees/

I need a room, what can I do?

If you need hotel, there are several accommodations options available near the conference center. Some of them are listed on this page

What does my registration include?

Registration include participation in all scientific activities for participants, coffee breaks, and lunches.

Will there be workshops during the conference?

Yes. Various workshops are being planned during the conference and also as a pre-conference program. More details will follow and we recommend that you sign up for our GCOM newsletter to be informed as soon as more information is available.

Can a sponsor cover my expenses?

If you require sponsorship to cover your travel expenses to attend the conference, please ensure you secure your own sponsors. GCOM/iMyoS are unable to provide any support to help you search for a sponsor.

Insurance

If you do not already have valid travel insurance, we encourage you to purchase this. GCOM/iMyoS are not liable for any losses/damages related to your journey such as cancellations, lost items, fraud, health issues etc.

Can Patient Advocacy Organization (PAO) representatives who are NOT patients themselves enter the industry area or attend industry symposiums?

By local regulations, patients or patient representatives are not allowed into any industry-sponsored symposiums or into the industry exhibit areas.

If I am not a patient myself but working with a patient organisation, can I pay the patient/partner rate, or do I have to pay the regular participant rate?

Persons who are not myositis patients themselves or a carer of a patient with myositis ( eg. representing or working for patient organizations ) must pay the regular participant rate.

If an IBM patient wants to enter an industry symposium for DM - is this allowed?

By local regulations, patients are not allowed into any industry-sponsored symposiums or into the industry exhibit areas.

Will the venue be wheelchair accessible?

Yes the venue itself is wheelchair accessible, there are lifts and disability-friendly toilets. However, please note that there are uneven surfaces (cobbled pavements) beyond the main entrance of the building.

Will registration allow for access to all recorded sessions afterwards (in case I missed a session or was attending a parallel session/workshop)?

Yes, the main plenary and breakout sessions will be recorded and available to registered participants after they login on the GCOM site approximately 2 weeks after the event.
