Dr. Akira Yoshida is a clinician-scientist and research associate in the Department of Allergy and Rheumatology at Nippon Medical School, Tokyo, Japan. His research focuses on the pathophysiology of myositis, particularly anti-MDA5 antibody-positive dermatomyositis. He has a specific interest in immune mechanisms underlying rapidly progressive interstitial lung disease and disease heterogeneity. Dr. Yoshida is a core member of the CLASS project and the Myositis Clinical Trials Consortium, contributing to international collaborative research aimed at improving disease classification stratification and clinical outcomes in myositis. He looks forward to contributing to scientific exchange at GCOM 2026.
