Ichizo Nishino

Ichizo Nishino, MD, PhD, is a neurologist and muscle pathologist at the National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP), Japan. He leads the Department of Neuromuscular Research and has long-standing expertise in the diagnosis and research of muscle diseases, integrating muscle pathology, genetics, and advanced imaging. His work has contributed to the molecular understanding of hereditary and inflammatory myopathies and to the development of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. He serves on the Executive Board of the World Muscle Society and is actively involved in international collaborations and education in myology.
