Louise Pyndt Diederichsen, MD, PhD, is a consultant rheumatologist at Dept. of Rheumatology, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark and Associate Professor specializing in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) and systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases. Her research focuses on identifying clinical, immunological, and epidemiological factors that influence susceptibility, disease trajectory, and long‑term outcomes in IIM. Dr. Diederichsen has served as principal investigator and co‑investigator on several interventional randomized controlled trials evaluating exercise-interventions and precision‑medicine approaches in inflammatory muscle disease.
Clinically, she manages patients with complex autoimmune and overlap syndromes and contributes to multidisciplinary care pathways. As an educator and mentor, she teaches and supervises medical students, residents, and PhD candidates. Dr. Diederichsen collaborates extensively with national and international consortia to advance personalized care in inflammatory myopathies.
