Dr. Manabu Fujimoto is Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine and Professor of Cutaneous Immunology at the Immunology Frontier Research Center, Osaka University, Japan. He served as Associate Professor at Kanazawa University from 2005 to 2013 and as Professor/Chair of Dermatology at the University of Tsukuba from 2013 to 2019. In 2019, he was appointed Professor/Chair of Dermatology at Osaka University. His clinical expertise encompasses inflammatory skin diseases and rheumatic connective tissue disorders, with a special focus on scleroderma and dermatomyositis. His research is dedicated to understanding the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases and B cell biology.
