Sarah Tansley

I am an academic rheumatologist with a longstanding interest in autoantibodies in autoimmune connective tissue diseases, particularly myositis. I lead local specialist myositis and young adult clinics and co-lead a specialist respiratory-rheumatology clinic. My research centres on novel autoantibody discovery and diagnostic test accuracy, with the aim of translating laboratory advances into better clinical care. I lead internationally recognised work in this field and am committed to strengthening diagnostic services through close integration of research and practice.
